Let's Talk About Mary

There is a broad gap between how Catholics and Pentecostals feel about Mary the mother of Jesus. Catholics venerate Mary very highly- above all other saints. While Pentecostals for the most part believe that she was simply chosen because she was willing and obedient. What do you think? Was she immaculately conceived? Did she ascend into Heaven? Is she the Queen of Heaven? Most importantly, should she receive more veneration then we currently give her as Pentecostals?

Well? So what do you think?

I think she deserves more respect than we give her...I think most Protestants shy away from even talking about her is "Catholicphobia". They don't even want to approach the Catholic's obsession with her. I think she deserves a place in the "hall of fame" above pretty much everyone else...for crying out loud, she was the mother of God! But, I don't think we need worship her or pray to her just like we don't to anyone else except for Jesus.

She wasn't the mother of God. God had no mother.
